"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." - Romans 12:2
Howard Hendricks once said, “You are either in the Word and the Word is conforming you to the image of Jesus Christ, or you are in the world and the world is squeezing you into its mold.” The Bible was not written for our information. The Bible was written for our transformation. Transformation doesn't happen overnight - it's a process. When we consistently engage with God's Word, it begins to reshape our thoughts, attitudes, and actions. Like a skilled sculptor working with clay, the Bible molds us into something beautiful, something more like Christ. This transformation isn't just about behavior modification; it's about heart change. As we let God's Word sink deep into our hearts, it changes not just what we do, but who we are. Our perspectives shift, our priorities align with God's, and we begin to see the world through His eyes.
Reflection Question: What is one area of your life where you've seen God's Word transform you over time?
Prayer: Father, continue Your transforming work in my life through Your Word. Help me to be open to change and willing to let You reshape me according to Your perfect will. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
