"Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord, God of hosts." - Jeremiah 15:16
What bread, meat and potatoes are to your physical body and a necessity for your physical growth, the word of God is that to your spiritual man. Just as our physical bodies need regular nourishment to stay healthy and strong, our spiritual lives require daily sustenance. God's Word isn't meant to be a once-a-week meal - it's our daily bread, essential for our spiritual growth and well-being. When we make Bible reading a daily habit, we're feeding our souls with the nutrients we need to thrive. Think of it this way: you wouldn't go days without eating, so why would you go days without feeding on God's Word? Every verse, every chapter is packed with spiritual nutrition that helps us grow stronger in our faith and closer to God.
Reflection Question: How can you make God's Word a more regular part of your daily spiritual diet?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, create in me a hunger for Your Word. Help me prioritize this spiritual nourishment daily, just as I prioritize physical food. Thank You for providing exactly what I need for spiritual growth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
