“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” - Matthew 5:16
Dan Breeding lives in North Carolina and is also known as “Dan the Animal Man” (https://dantheanimalman.net/). He uses his love for animals as a platform to glorify God. He travels to churches and schools, teaching kids about the amazing ways God created each animal and the instincts He gave them. He explains that these animals are doing exactly what God designed them to do.
But Dan doesn’t just stop there. He also gets invited to secular venues - The Tonight Show, the White House, and other big platforms. When he’s in those environments, he might not be able to share the gospel as openly as he does in churches, but he still sees those opportunities as part of God’s plan for his work.
Dan’s story shows us that whether we’re in a sacred or secular setting, our work can glorify God. It’s not about the title of the job or the location - it’s about seeing your work as a calling from God.
Your workplace isn’t just a job - it’s a mission field. Whether you’re a teacher, an engineer, or a cashier, God has placed you where you are for a reason. Your actions, attitude, and effort can reflect Christ to those around you.
