"In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace." - Ephesians 1:7 (NKJV)
When I asked Lydia to marry me, I was just 18 years old. I remember being in the jewelry store, looking at diamond rings, and I bought the best I could afford. It has continued to be precious to Lydia, because it was my best. If I had had more money, I would have bought a bigger ring.
There was a man who told his wife, "I want to give you some jewelry as a gift, so go to a couple of jewelry shops and find something nice." She found a beautiful, expensive diamond ring and texted him the picture and price. He responded by text: "No. Price too high." However, he forgot to add the periods ("."). So, instead, he said, "No price too high," and she gladly bought that ring.
God the Father sent His Son, Who was His best, for you and for me, because that was what we needed. If you ever feel insecure, unworthy, unloved, or invaluable, remember the cross. God says, "No price is too high to save you and redeem you."
Our redemption is complete in four dimensions:
When Jesus said "It is finished" on the cross (John 19:30), He used a term that means "paid in full." Your redemption is complete - past, present, and future. You are wealthy beyond measure in Christ Jesus, not because of what you've done, but because of what He accomplished for you.
Reflection Question: How should understanding the complete nature of your redemption - consequence, control, contamination, and consciousness - change how you live today?
Dear Heavenly Father, I am overwhelmed by the completeness of my redemption in Christ. Thank You that You paid the full price for my freedom - past, present, and future. Help me live today in the reality of who I am in Christ: forgiven, free, pure, and destined for glory. May my life be a testimony to the riches of redemption that are mine through Jesus' precious blood. In Jesus' Name, amen.

Our redemption is complete in four dimensions:
Redeemed from sin's consequence - We will never face the eternal punishment our sins deserved. "The soul who sins shall die" (Ezekiel 18:4), but Jesus died in our place.
Redeemed from sin's control - We are no longer slaves who must sin. We have been set free to live righteously by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 6:11-14).
Redeemed from sin's contamination - We are not just forgiven; we are cleansed, pure, and holy. "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Redeemed from sin's consciousness - One day in heaven, we will be in Christ's presence, where "nothing evil will be permitted... no one immoral or dishonest, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life" (Revelation 21:27). The very consciousness of sin will be eradicated.
